As you can guess the hubby is in HEAVEN! He stares at Shelby and just goes crazy over her. In the hospital he even got upset when they took Shelby for "too long". They made the mistake of telling this man that she would be back in 20 min. Well, after 30 min, which Rick swears was an hour, he went looking for her.
Yesterday we went to Awilda's to see Luis off to California. Daddy was changing Shelby's diaper after what sounded like 5-6 old man toots in a row we smelled the stench of something. The smell was enough to keep Zack away. Daddy got Shelby's diaper off and started to clean. She started to poo again. Acting quickly he put a wipe under her butt. About a second later more poop came out. Again Rick put a wipe on her butt and got it quick. Rick then went to grab a new wipe and like a cannon ball shot she projects poop all the way to his jeans. It looked like someone loaded a water gun with poo and shot it at him. His leg was almost a foot away.
Daddy earned yet another badge of honor from his child. He had a similar incident with Zack.
One really cute thing he does is call her MISS Shelby. He looked like he was going to cry when I called NICU unit at the hospital, and they kept calling her Miss Shelby as well. As a matter of fact, so far everyone calls her Miss Shelby. It's beyond the sweetest thing people could do... Rick picked the first name and it means so much to him that people have really accepted it.
